Finally tried Milk Tea from SenCha and am happy that my curiosity was satisfied! Happy as well with the time spent with my boys and we had a short, not so easy with the little boy yet still fun photo shoot. These photos are just two that I have cropped through the  D7K.

Thanks to my dear hubby for indulging in satisfying my curiosity over this milk tea thing that some DB friends have been drinking and sharing over at FB! *Wink* I am happy with the place. I like the place for I find it girly and cute in terms of their choice of colors in the interior. But I can’t say though that this all meant am happy with the milk tea but just curiosity satisfied. *Wink*

One of the coffee shops in town that we would go to and spend some relaxing time during our weekend off is Starbucks. I would miss my fave hot peppermint mocha when they would altogether stop serving it. They still serve it though until supply lasts according to the barista.

This is where we could sit down and relax because at home we may sit down but we’re doing work. Here we have no laptop or work to do but just to sit and relax while sipping my fave coffee. We need some relaxing time and am happy we do get a little time just to do that. It may be time wasted for some but it ain’t time wasted if you enjoyed the process, right?

I miss those times that we would go to Picobello Restaurant in DC to have pizza with my boys during their happy hours where you can avail of a buy one take one in their pizza. We would go to the 5th level of Gaisano Ilustre between 2-5pm which are the promo hours and we would just order pizza. It’s affordable and really tummy filling. Even our lil boy loves their pizza.

What just turned me off from going back there again was that one waiter who feels more than the manager of the resto. Even if he was indeed related to the owner, that makes it more not right for him to treat (like what he did) for regular customers like us then. Anyway that was the past. I still do look forward to reminiscing those happy and busog afternoons we had at Picobello.

The Red Velvet Hot Cocoa from Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf made me happy and honestly satisfied my curiosity the first time we visited the newly opened branch of CBTL at Abreeza Mall Davao City. This drink reminds me of the taste of strawberry ice cream only served hot. I love it and I enjoyed it actually! Great impression for my first time in the new and first CBTL in the city!

We love it toasted this garlic loaf with olive oil that we discovered and bought at the Gourmet Bread (from the Royal Breadhaus) stall in Abreeza Mall. A loaf costs P36 and it tastes good when toasted just right. You have to eat it while it is fresh and hot. Yummy! I am craving for it right now as I write this one. I think I will look if they already have a stock of this tomorrow. My tummy is getting hungry. Got to park my lappy for now.

Durian… I miss eating durian!

Those were the days when I could eat durian without having to worry of what happens to me after. Now I have to control and watch how much I can eat. This is delicious but I wanna live longer so I have to eat only a little of this and not as often as I used to anymore.

Basket of Mojos from Shakey’s

I miss eating mojos from Shakey’s. It is an old fave or mine. I have not been to a Shakey’s resto for quite sometime until a few days ago when we tried dining at the new branch that opened in AMall. The little guy is not much into eating it which became a blessing in disguise for me because I love it. We did not get the basket of mojos but I got four pieces which is enough and should be enough serving for me for one meal.

I got happy memories of mojos years ago from their VPMall, GMall and Duterte branches. I just had the super platter meal giving the two pizza slices I have to the little guy since he loves pizza. Hubby and I enjoyed the salad. It’s a delight to eat it! Now I wonder when I could have another serving of these mojos. Hopefully soon but I can wait.

Starbucks Thanksgiving Blend Whole Bean Coffee

Now this made me smile when I found a link about it at Twitter just awhile ago. It is said to be nicely paired with a pumpkin pie, and loved ones to share with. I want to try its spicy, herbal, full-bodied flavor.

Here is a recipe I found at the Starbucks store.

Use cold, filtered water and a clean machine.
Grind beans just before brewing:

• Course for coffee press
• Medium for automatic drip

Measure 2 tbsp (10 g) ground coffee for every 6 fl oz (180 ml) water.

Red Ribbon Tiramisu Meltdown Birthday Cake

A heavenly three-layer cake of choco chiffon and cream cheese filling,dappled with a hint of coffee liquor.

This was the birthday cake my sister N and I bought for our nephew L and our brother’s joint birthday celebration. It was a simple gathering and we were all complete except of my sister H and family who are so many miles away from home.

The kids devoured the cake. Good thing the cake was just enough for all of us. I could and should not have another slice. Diet! That’s it.
