Lex We Meet Again

Lex we meet again!

Hubby installed this Bookworm Adventures game in his PC and the little boy loved the game. Sometimes I would come to think if there could possibly be a sleep pills that is safe for young children because the little boy would stay up late with me wanting to play this game over and over again. I think I need one too when I get so addicted I don’t want to sleep anymore. The little boy gets to play the game with our help of course. He does the clicking while I point out the letters for him to click.

My sisters and I loved this game too years ago. During those days especially during summer nights, my sisters would stay up so late at night playing this one trying to beat each other’s level. But don’t worry it’s a healthy and fun competition between siblings. Now hubby has revived this game once again and he even installed it on my laptop too. I am not sure if I should be truly happy about that because this game is kind of addicting and I don’t think that would help me finish my chores and tasks faster. But this is an educational game though I have to say it is quite violent for young kids. I have to distract my son during certain parts of the game because it’s not really good for him to see those.

Excited

I am excited to see my old friends who are actually my former classmates in high school. In two weeks time, we will be seeing each other again most of whom I have not seen personally for more than a decade ago. They might be shock to see me gain weight but I guess I just have to say I have been happy eating for the last few years. Is that a good excuse? Oh I hope so! I was seriously thinking about diet and that colon cleanser my friend was telling me about. More than diet I think I need to detox too!

Anyway, I still have to go to my classmate who works in the city government and give my contribution. It has just been busy especially during school days. Hubby and I have to work together to do the chores and pending tasks here at home. I have to make way for that reunion and have to finish pending chores before that day comes. Some classmates who are now based abroad in far places in the country are coming home. Though we might just be few who will attend, it is really something I am really excited about. It will be an all girls night out coz yes we went to an exclusive for girls high school then run by nuns. Speaking of which I hope we could also invite not only our former teachers but the sister who we often see in school then.

Splashing

I am happy having taken a quick nap this afternoon! I woke up hearing the squeals of children on a show on TV happily splashing on the swimming pool of a resort I have heard many times before. That was what that the lil boy was watching and I was quite surprised he was not watching his usual animated movies. When I went to see what he was watching, it is a local TV show with kids splashing in the swimming pool that reminded me how I wish we have one of those above ground pools that I saw before which is a lot stronger and durable compared to the plastic pool that we have in mind before.

It is quite hot in here right now so a dip or a splash in the pool right now will surely refresh the three of us and I am sure too that the lil boy will have a great time. The problem would be convincing him to come out of the pool as hubby and I anticipate.

New Bike

I am so happy I finally got a new bike after so, so long! Biking has been a favorite activity that I love to do when I was growing up and still living at my parents’ house. The streets in where they live are wide and stretch long ideal for biking around the subdivision. Last Saturday, hubby let me buy a city bike out of my own earnings. I still have to find more time to bike around and know the streets here around our place. We are in the city and so we have to drive carefully.

One of our concerns at first was where to store this bike inside the house. The laundry area at the back does not have enough space anymore unless we get rid of the old washing machine that we are no longer using. My first idea was to put the bike in the small storage area below the stairs of the apartment. But it does not seem to be a good place to store my new bike. Unless we place something like a driveway alarm that would go off and alert us if ever an intruder or burglar would come may it be at night or during the day and try to steal it. We have been attempted by burglars one time though the other neighbors had been attempted several times already.

Anyway, I actually still have to maximize using this new bike of mine. This has long been on my mind when I was initially thinking of getting a stationary bike since I think using the treadmill really doesn’t appeal to me anymore. I wish to use this bike more than I did use the treadmill. Well in fact hubby had used the bike since more than me. He wanted to go biking outside late this afternoon but he remembered he must go somewhere. Tomorrow I’ll try to wake up early and go biking! That would truly be a good and happy way to start my day!

Shrek 4 Final Chapter in 3D

Bonding time with hubby even for a few hours as we watched Shrek 4 Final Chapter in 3D finally! I wish we saw it in IMAX but that would be wishful thinking. We have been waiting for this movie in 3D for quiet sometime. We almost went somewhere else just to see this movie aside from having a short and instant vacation hopefully. Though that didn’t push through, we were happy to have some time for each other even if just for an hour and a half then off to the grocery immediately while the lil boy was with my sis and dad.

Hubby and I are so thankful for my family! Wish I can treat them all too to watch this movie in 3D. I know they would rather wait for the DVD of this movie. This is a nice movie to watch with your family especially for the kids. They’d definitely love the 3D version! Also, I’d definitely miss this movie series!

Happy Farming

Happy farming indeed! I started this addiction I think mid last year but is not as addicted to playing these farm games anymore. I just recently went back to part time playing it but not as often anymore unlike before. With new levels to pursue, it is something I’d like to just play for fun now in between my work to add something that makes me happy. I just bought the new modern mansion so that will do for now. I am happy I have reached my goal on this farming game that is. LOL!

Laughter is the Best Medicine

Laughter is the best medicine they say. Last Sunday, I treated hubby to a dose of laughter as we watched a comedy show at the Central Bank. They are local but popular comedians namely Pooh and Pokwang. We laughed and laughed except maybe for the parts that they sang songs where some were like a break for us to catch our breath. I wish there are more shows like this coz even if the tickets were the most expensive for this show but if it is worth your money, then it okay. I just hope next time, they won’t make us wait for an hour and a half before the show starts. But I think the wait was worth it as I had a great sound trip with the nice ,cool music they played that makes me wanna dance while we waited. LOL! I’d want more of that show like the rest of the audience. It was a date for hubby and me, a happy time for us having dinner at Antonio’s then that comedy show. When we got home, the lil boy was happily waiting for us and happy to see us back home again. It was such a happy Sunday!

Mac & Cheese

We discovered LM’s Mac n Cheese recently and we liked it. We usually stock it for our midnight snacks here at home since we are usually up late working and when we do get hungry and we feel like saving which means not ordering something for delivery, we grab two packs and that would be good already for the three of us. The lil boy likes it but we just give him a little coz this is not that good for him but it does make him so happy when he sees it being cooked. He knows we’re cooking it and when it is done he would say “wow! let’s eat!”

Yes that makes us so happy to hear him say that. He is one happy boy and a blessing for hubby and me and my family since he brings us so much joy and be thankful for to the Lord.

Pizza Night

It’s pizza night here with the boys. I was actually craving for roasted pig’s crispy skin but we ended up ordering Yellow Cab’s New York’s Finest 14″ pizza plus Coke 1.5L for delivery. It’s quite late at night. We would have wanted to have a simple dinner out with the boys but the rain kept pouring for a few days now.

Makes Me Wanna Dance

The Back at the Barnyard song really makes me and the lil boy wanna stand up dance. It is a fun song to dance to with the lil boy who loves to dance when he hears a nice and often upbeat music. He somehow likes this cartoon too though I make sure we censor those where the naughty boy named Eugene who’s character is obnoxious and bratty. Never a good example for kids. But then still we love their song let alone we can dance whole day long to it. LOL!
