Playing with LEGO one night with the boys was fun filled with happy memories! One of those days that we learn to appreciate our simple yet blessed life makes me happy.

In fact since we bought this loose Lego, we allow the boy to bring it so that we can have fun playing with it and building something while waiting like when we are at resto or a coffee shop perhaps during our weekends. I am happy hubby bought this for the little boy because it is a creative toy that we can bring with us anywhere we may go. We actually want to buy more packs of this next time so we ca build bigger things out of these blocks. These are from two packs each with about 125 pieces each of loose Lego that we bought at a mall just a few days ago for almost two hundred bucks each pack.

Took this souvenir photo of what the little boy built with his dad when we went to a nearby fast food for late night snacks after we missed the newly opened branch of Spirale in Abreeza Mall that had its opening around 5PM that night.

Finally tried Milk Tea from SenCha and am happy that my curiosity was satisfied! Happy as well with the time spent with my boys and we had a short, not so easy with the little boy yet still fun photo shoot. These photos are just two that I have cropped through the  D7K.

Thanks to my dear hubby for indulging in satisfying my curiosity over this milk tea thing that some DB friends have been drinking and sharing over at FB! *Wink* I am happy with the place. I like the place for I find it girly and cute in terms of their choice of colors in the interior. But I can’t say though that this all meant am happy with the milk tea but just curiosity satisfied. *Wink*

A few days ago, I was browsing one of those music stores online, I found one that has the musical instruments I want for sale. I prefer the keyboard or piano maybe and the drums which the little boy is also interested in. I have started reading the product reviews to give me an idea which is the best among the selection of musical instruments they have in that store. Oh well I just hope the husband will give me a budget for one musical instrument for now so the little boy and I could start playing music with the little boy soon even before summer begins. That will be fun!

One of the coffee shops in town that we would go to and spend some relaxing time during our weekend off is Starbucks. I would miss my fave hot peppermint mocha when they would altogether stop serving it. They still serve it though until supply lasts according to the barista.

This is where we could sit down and relax because at home we may sit down but we’re doing work. Here we have no laptop or work to do but just to sit and relax while sipping my fave coffee. We need some relaxing time and am happy we do get a little time just to do that. It may be time wasted for some but it ain’t time wasted if you enjoyed the process, right?

He liked this game as I remember when he was much younger when they also played it at the Timezone at NCCC Mall. That then was the first time he played bowling. He did not make a strike then but he enjoyed it so much too and those are part of our happy memories.

We finally visited the Christmas Lights Galore at Mana Davao 2012 last night. This place is somewhere near Robinson’s Cybergate.  I personally like it better viewed from afar. Mana Davao is an antique furniture shop in the city that has traditionally has this show of lights every Christmas for the past few years now. I like their design this year compared last year though I personally think the best was during Christmas 2009 as far as I can remember since 2007 when I first heard about their Christmas lights display. But we missed it in 2007 and only the year after that in 2008 when I first visited their display. You can see photos here of Mana Davao’s Christmas Trees, Decors & Lights in 2008.

Do you know this whole things costs them around P2.5million? Yes that is what I read from the local news. It is a very expensive endeavor though I think the owners of Mana wants the people of Davao to be happy and delighted with their Christmas lights display every year. I think this year they opened the place to the public rather late I think December 17 unlike previous years when it was usually earlier. The last day will be on January 3, 2012. So for those who still want to go there, you still have a few days left.

It has become like a landmark during the holiday season in Davao city that people flock to Mana with their families especially with the kids to enjoy and have their souvenir photos taken. For sure there are lots of happy memories captured here for many families and kids in Davao. You just have to be quick in snapping those photos as the place can be really crowded especially towards Christmas day and especially early evening. This year I think they

The mascots are not there anymore which may be the reason that there were not too many people anymore which is better for me. Though there are still more people than I expected when we arrived around eleven in the evening. The traffic is lighter less than an hour before midnight. There is a 911 police patrol car in front plus I saw about two to three traffic police managing the traffic. A few nights when the display started, the traffic was really heavy around the Bajada area.

After spending surprisingly almost an hour snapping shots with the little boy and the three of us together, we got hungry and went to the new Jollibee DMC branch for the first time since it opened earlier this month last December 15. We are happy with the time spent there and the shots we have, it is time to make our tummies happy. *wink*

Looking at a few of these photos of that summer outing a few years ago in hubby’s company, it makes me say… I miss the beach!

While we may have access to a nice and affordable beach that is only a 5-minute boat ride away from DC, we rarely get to take advantage of that. It just so happens that dear hubby has work during some weekends and when he is free. we opt to go some place else. Maybe we should plan early for the next summer. Or wish we could just head out to the beach like the good old days even if it’s unplanned.

Happiness for this week includes being able to play this new game we found called Blob Blast. Gosh it can be addicting! Even hubby realized that when he tried playing it yesterday. LOL!

I think it was the little boy who found it and downloaded the game at the SGTab a few days ago. Then there is another version the Bob Blast Halloweeeeen that popped up while we were playing the original version. We tried it, and you guess it right got addicted for a few days and now it won’t play anymore level. Guess I may have reached the end? Maybe or there might just be something wrong with the game or our Tabby.

It is a blessing in disguise anyway since I am able to go back and concentrate on what needs and has to be done with my free time.

At one point, a friend of ours almost sold us his son’s PSP but we have to buy new psp batteries then. However, the son decided not to forego with it yet. The dad was happy because he was able to save money then since they were supposed to buy another new gadget in replacement or as an upgrade to his son’s PSP. I know the feeling. Sometimes kids easily get bored with their toys and want the new ones that come out in the market.

My boys love soccer. We are fans of the Azkals. Hubby’s love for soccer/football had an influence on our little boy who equally love it as well. Good thing their school offers an elective class for kids who love to play soccer. The Azkals may have had an inlfuence too on the increase on the number of students this year at school who plays soccer.

The little boy started playing last summer since soccer was part of the summer class program offered by the school. The little boy took the two classes = first and second batch so he played soccer all summer long. With the second batch the school allowed him to just take the soccer class for a fee of P400 I think instead of the P4,500 (like in the first one where aside from soccer there was a class too in the morning and soccer was in the afternoon). Good thing going to school is no problem for us.

The little boy has joined the grass roots training offered at Agro. That Cherifer event was found by hubby at Facebook since he follows the soccer community in the city. Next was the Kadayawan soccer tournament where the school participated in. These opportunities which we are happy that the little boy was able to experience at a young age of four. There is a lot to learn in terms of foot work and running. But for now, it is enough that he loves soccer and he loves playing it.

As a mother though I always pray for his protection and safety at all times when they play soccer.
