Scanning at the Grocery

When we go to the grocery, we bring along the little boy so he that can be exposed to the experience and letting him choose some of his snacks. He also wants to be able to do the scanning at the grocery barcode scanner. He usually passes by the section in the grocery store where there is a scanner installed in the wall for customers to freely scan the barcode and check prices of goods by themselves. Especially with that particular grocery we got to, we need to check the price because they sometimes don’t update the prices or there are no prices properly shown on the display.

We have introduced him to choosing the veggies we buy at the grocery (which we actually somehow influence him) like squash, carrots and potatoes. This makes him aware of the vegetables that we would cook and he would eat afterwards. Knowing what he ate from what we bought made it easier for us to make him eat the veggies. So far he likes those three veggies. So before we checkout those grocery goods and veggies, the little boy would stop by the scanner and scan the items. Until he is done and satisfied, we proceed to the cashier counter to pay for the items.

The little boy has learned to appreciate the whole experience which is part of practical life and slowly teaching him to decide what he wants and what he should eat.

Playing Music

The little boy loves playing music every now and then. His teacher also noticed that he loves music and when they sing in class he readily participates. I will encourage him more to play music. If my budget allows me to, I will him buy a real keyboard. I would be happy if I could learn it too!

A few days ago, I was browsing one of those music stores online, I found one that has the musical instruments I want for sale. I prefer the keyboard or piano maybe and the drums which the little boy is also interested in. I have started reading the product reviews to give me an idea which is the best among the selection of musical instruments they have in that store. Oh well I just hope the husband will give me a budget for one musical instrument for now so the little boy and I could start playing music with the little boy soon even before summer begins. That will be fun!

Cut Safely

During our last parent-teacher conference or PTC at the little boy’s school. The teacher mentioned that he likes arts and that love for art includes drawing and coloring. He loves to cut art materials even cutting tape to put his artwork proudly on the door or wall in the house for us to see them day and night. I am just making sure that while he enjoys doing all these art stuff, as a mother I want him to cut things safely. he is at the stage where he constantly use the scissors. Aside from constantly reminding him to be careful with it, I want him to use materials first of all that are safe especially for kids.

I once found those Martor USA box cutters along with safety knives, safety cutters that has many unique, patented safety features. Just what I need for use for the little boy. This coming summer he will be putting them more into use when he is on a school break and I am planning to enrol him in an art class as well. I hope he will enjoy art more and develop more art skills and passion for it.

White iPod Touch

There is an ongoing ipod touch sale including the essential iPod accessories as well as headphones and cases at one of the tech gadget stores in town and I hope it would be too in the online store that I was browsing a little earlier after hubby came home from work. It does remind me of my nephew who once told me he would really be happy if ever he gets an iPod nano or shuffle for Christmas. Well that remains to be realized until now. Maybe he will be lucky this year’s Christmas, who knows right? I hope he will!

I love the white ipod touch or an iPhone 4S would be better. I remember late last year, I was kind of interested in the Apple 64GB 4TH generation iPod touch in color white which I believe was called the October 2011 version. I am still happy using our old iPod touch which is black and I still find it useful today when I play Bubble Explode to de-stress and clear my mind from work and other concerns just to relax before resuming work again at home.

New Year’s Sale

The latest mall in town is having an ongoing New Year’s Sale until the 15th or so. When we went around the mall recently, I noticed all stores has these big and attractive sale signs displayed. It could really be so tempting to shop for some new clothes to change a little of my wardrobe which I have not changed for quite a long time. Yes I am a mother and there have been other more important priorities that I usually forego of shopping just to prioritize what needs to be prioritized.

But a new year’s sale just makes me think once again of that sears coupons that I wish I have and can use not to shop for clothes this time but to get one of the kitchen electrics, stuff and accessories that is still in my list up to now. Hubby and I are currently looking for some cooking ware set and we’d be happy to purchase what we have in mind. We have been scouring the local stores and still have not found what we wanted. There may be an ongoing new year’s sale for kitchen stuff online somewhere and I just got to find it.

Colorful

I am just happy for my friend who just gave me a pep talk earlier. Life is made more colorful because of sincere people and friends who makes us happy when we are bluer than blue.

On the topic still of being colorful, another friend of mine who also cheered me up today showed me these interesting and not to forget colorful medical computers at Howard-Medical.com. We were both talking about computers towards the end of our chat when she mentioned about those colorful medical carts that she saw during her recent visit at the hospital for her annual medical checkup.

I have yet to see these colorful medical carts as they are called with these colorful designs. It would be great for children’s ward in the hospital making the place lively and colorful. It could indeed brighten up the hospital environment for the kids.

Investing

Are you into investing? There is one personality and celebrity as he is considered that I met at the AMall recently for an short inspirational talk and book signing with photo opp. He has inspired many people to go into investing and finding their financial freedom. I am so happy to have finally met him in person. He is truly an inspiration for many people that he has inspired to go into investing and more importantly serve the LORD.

I remember sometime last year when online friends were asking what they wanted for Christmas, they all answered they would want those silver bars that one among us shared and was talking about during that time. Investing had since then been something I want to explore into. It is just the capital money to invest that is of concern then. Though I think this is something we should try to explore as part of your financial plans for 2012.

Quick Shopping

Hubby and I went for a quick shopping today at VP. I got a black dress which if I may say was a golden find because the price was really a steal. I saved a lot from that dress for the party we will be attending on Sunday. I was actually going for a dress that was five times more expensive yet am not quite comfy with. This dress I found this afternoon has a nice fit and just the length that I was kind of looking for. The fabric is also something I kind of like. The best thing about this quick shopping was that I saved a lot on the dress. I am really happy that hubby accompanied to do that quick shopping. He was able to buy his own new black shoes for office use and for the party as well.

I am happy as well, on the other hand when we also found the adult diapers that we were supposed to donate for a Christmas charity activity by a group that we promised to help with their mission for a local institution as part of their Christmas offering and a way of sharing their blessings to the elderly. We have been looking for those diapers that were out of stock in two mall we went to the past week. This day’s quick shopping was all fruitful. I asked for a sign if we would go to the party or not and it was given. Thank you LORD!

Quality Product

As a consumer we are happy to be able to buy and use quality products. But more than just having quality products, as consumers we must be aware that we should make sure that we are using quality products that are also lead free. Lead has been linked to lead poisoning and other diseases. I would be happy never to come across those things that comes from products that contains lead. But how do we know? We must ask the manufacturers and do research. That is why when I stumble upon this Lead Free Solder manufactured by Fine Line Stencil I am happy to know that they are using lead free stuff.

Happy and Healthy

Happy and healthy… this are among my daily prayers.

Moreso that we are reminded to stay happy and healthy when talks about heart matters with my hubby made me mention about this Crestor lawsuit that concerns a medicine being petitioned to be removed from the market after it was known that it has been causing heart failure and heart attack. This should be a concern for those who may be taking medicines for treating their high cholesterol. Check your medicines for possible serious side effects like those involved in this case – heart attack and heart failure. Surely those will make you pray harder that you remain happy and more so healthy!
