THE happy memories

The boys and I liked cooking pancakes lately especially for the little boy. He helps a lot with the preparation and sometimes with the actual cooking. The other night, the little boy suddenly requested that he wants to eat pancakes. Since it is easy to make, why not? But that time, I thought we could make some fun. I made smaller pancakes to look like ears for a Mickey Mouse Pancake which the little boy easily guessed. I know the pancakes are not perfect but we had fun cooking it and the little boy was so happy.

I wanted to try next time all smaller pancakes and we can make something out of it like polka dots or anything. I actually tried smaller pancakes this time we were cooking which were bigger than the size of those chocolate coins we used to eat years ago. Maybe if I can have extra money, we’ll try buying that pancake maker we saw at the mall. They have a design for making small pancakes. It would be easier to cook. Though cooking this way which we’re used to is still fun! More happy memories making Mickey Mouse pancakes for us!

Thank goodness it’s Friday indeed and weekend is here once again. The boys are still sleeping as hubby just got home from work and is catching up some sleep. We are going to check out SM Annex which will open today. Hope there won’t be too many people since there is an event I think that starts today too.

We also plan to check out a few stores in SM and see if they have what we have been looking for quite sometime. I hope they have something similar to one of those electric tourmaster jackets that hubby wants to have. When worn it provides warmth without bulk or discomfort, and is said to be safe to wear. It is light weight and water resistant since it rains every now and then. Sometimes he needs this kind of jacket in their very cold office where they maintain a colder temperature for the computer servers. Well hope to find something like this otherwise one can always check it online where I first found that particular jacket.

I miss this place! A beautiful Sunday afternoon walk around this place with my boys during one of our family vacation trips was one of the best happy memories I still remember up to this day even after more than five months had passed since. That was also the day when the sun showed up and it became sunny after days of rain and cloudy weather in the metro.

It would be nice to go back here on another sunny Sunday afternoon for a nice relaxing walk with no rush. The little boy enjoyed running around and playing with a few other kids there for awhile. We enjoyed seeing him having fun and we truly enjoyed this nice and clean place with a big open space.
